Honeywell China President Scott Zhang
People from all walks of life in China are fully supporting the fight against the novel coronavirus. As a company that has been deeply rooted in China for so many years, Honeywell took its responsibilities and donated $2 million worth of equipment which has already arrived in Wuhan and Xi'an. I am proud and grateful our employees and partners have been making great efforts in Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Xi'an and other cities to contribute to this cause.
By last week, our 21 plants across China have fully resumed production. They not only serve Chinese customers, but also international clients. We feel honored our resumption of production was complimented by the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was a great recognition and encouragement to our employees. At the same time, we have been supporting our key suppliers to resume work. Currently, our plants are running at almost full capacity. Meanwhile we have been closely working with customers to address any potential disruptions.
We appreciate central and local governments' measures to stabilize business, and foreign-funded companies will enjoy the same treatment as local enterprises. Our leadership team is evaluating which measures can be beneficial to Honeywell, and hope that the government can simplify the procedures for companies to apply. We always trust the power of "Made in China" and resilience of China's economy. We believe as we stand in solidarity, we will end this epidemic soon and strive for a bright future.
