Construction of the Sanya Poly C+ International Expo Center project is currently 80 percent complete. It is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of October,Sanya Dailyreported on March 24.

To date, the main structure and facade curtain wall has been completed, while decoration and gardening works are currently being constructed in an orderly manner. "The work efficiency is being improved to ensure that the project is put into use on time," according to the project manager.

Located at the intersection of Jianglin Road and Linwang Avenue in Haitang district, the project boasts an investment of 700 million yuan ($110 million) and covers a total construction area of about 50,000 square meters. It consists of a one-story exhibition center, with an area of 28,200 sq m, and a two-story conference center, with an area of 11,700 sq m.

The project can accommodate up to 800 standard booths as well as between 15,000 to 20,000 people after completion. It will be able to hold large-scale banquets, conferences, and sports events. It will also be equipped with hotels, commercial and public service facilities, as well as landscape environments.

The center will further enhance the city's capacity for hosting international and professional exhibitions and conferences, as well as create favorable conditions for the development of Sanya's convention and exhibition industry.
