Goldwind Science and Technology, based there, has become a global leader in wind power over the past 26 years. Their turbines generate 270 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity a year, cutting CO2 emissions by 2.28 billion tons and reforesting 1.24 billion cubic meters.

The group, the largest offshore wind power base in China, has installed over 51,000 units. They've led in new Chinese installations for 13 years and globally for two, supplying 25 percent of China's and over 11 percent of the world's wind turbines.

Zhai Endi, chief engineer of Goldwind Science and Technology Group, noted the company's evolution from 600-kilowatt to 16-megawatt turbines, achieving global prominence by developing crucial technologies.

Yancheng, which has Jiangsu's longest coastline and largest sea area, has created a wind power equipment industry cluster with over 40 percent of China's offshore wind power production capacity and more than 20 percent of national blade production. This has led to a comprehensive wind power industry chain covering research, manufacturing, development, and services.
