Furthermore, the project seeks to create a high-end medical equipment ecosystem, promoting collaboration among upstream and downstream enterprises and fostering the growth of both large and small businesses. By leveraging Wuxi's industrial advantages, it aims to build a distinctive medical device cluster that serves the Yangtze River Delta and beyond, contributing to the development of the healthcare industry in China and globally.

Zhang Yihao, executive vice-president of GE HealthCare Global and president & CEO of GE HealthCare China, expressed gratitude for Wuxi's long-standing support. "Here, we see Wuxi's unique industrial advantages, continuously improving business environment, and strong policy support," he said. He emphasized that GE HealthCare China will continue collaborating with partners to enhance medical care without boundaries, delivering better, more convenient, and more efficient healthCare products and services.

In recent years, Wuxi has been actively developing future-oriented industrial parks focused on synthetic biology, AI-driven biomedicine, and the beauty economy. By 2024, the city's biopharmaceutical sector had expanded to over 2,400 enterprises, with an industry scale surpassing 200 billion yuan ($27.62 billion).
