On Nov 17, Visteon Corporation announced its plans to establish a cutting-edge research and development center in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

This new facility will be backed by a paid-in registered capital of $20 million and is set to focus on pioneering next-generation AI technologies. The center will conduct research and development in areas such as automotive cockpit electronics, electrification products, and on-board charging systems, with operations slated to begin in 2026.

Liu Ziqing, Party secretary of the WEDZ administrative committee, said that the center will accelerate the integration of the region's industrial, innovation, talent, capital, and service chains, fostering a more cohesive and dynamic ecosystem.

Visteon, headquartered in the United States, is among the top 100 automotive parts companies in the world. The company's product lineup includes advanced cockpit domain controllers, high-perception large displays, and intelligent battery management systems.
