As the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) approaches, global investors are turning their attention to Xiamen, the host city in Southeast China's Fujian province.

The Future Investment Conference 2026, an integral part of the International Investment Forum, is scheduled to take place from Sept 8 to 9 in Xiamen. The conference aims to serve as a barometer for global investment trends and the future growth landscape and a vital bridge connecting capital, industry, and technology, driving action through dialogue.

In recent years, the International Investment Forum has continuously deepened its collaboration with major international organizations, enhancing the event's international profile and authority. Co-hosted by the Xiamen Municipal People's Government and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Future Investment Conference was first held in 2025.

This year's conference will deepen its agenda by capitalizing on China's position as a nexus for global future industries and investment systems. It will focus on pioneering fields that are shaping the direction of global capital, such as generative and industrial artificial intelligence, digital services, and life and health sciences.

Bringing together government officials, heads of financial institutions, and industry leaders from more than 50 countries, the event aims to forge international consensus on investment strategy, steer capital toward emerging future-oriented sectors and foster a more inclusive and resilient global investment cooperation ecosystem.
