Guian New Area business environment further optimized

Guian New Area, a national demonstration area of the inland opening-up economy located between Guiyang and Anshun in Guizhou province, set up a business environment management office this February, further optimizing the area's business environment.

Guian New Area has successively implemented a series of reform policies, including the separation of certificates and licenses, integration of package services, one license for management, and one-window services.

After the reforms, newly added market entities and registered capital in the new area increased by 168 percent and 153 percent, respectively.

The time needed for enterprises to open an account has been shortened to less than three days. Businesses tied to people's daily lives, such as cinemas, pharmacies, and Internet bars, are now permitted to run with just one license. All government service windows provide "no-differential services", similar to banks, and have realized the goal of one-stop service.

"I applied this morning and received my relevant licenses this afternoon. It is very convenient and fast," said Jin Niao, the principal of Guizhou Yunzhihai Building Materials Trading Co.

The company's smooth registration indicates that the number of market entities in Guian New Area has reached 20,021, with a registered capital of 508.98 billion yuan ($74.36 billion).

At the end of 2017, the area had only 15,662 market entities and a registered capital of 426.154 billion yuan.

Over the past six months, the number of market entities in Guian New Area has exploded, which is undoubtedly due to the full optimization of its business environment.

Guian New Area aims to create an investment environment with the fewest catches, lowest costs, most viable mechanisms, and best services. In recent years, it has eliminated obstacles that were impeding its development, allowing its business environment to continue improving.
