Xi'an to establish Aerospace High-tech Industry zone

It has become the only city with a complete industrial chain of space systems in China. Meanwhile, Xi'an is expected to enhance its advantages in space launch power, satellite payload and ground application, space capability, human resources and innovative energy.

The aerospace industry is a typical representative of Xi'an's military industry strength. After more than 50 years of development, more than 90 percent of the aerospace research and production units are gathered in Shaanxi province. In 2017, the total income of the aerospace industry reached 52.8 billion yuan. Xi'an has established an aerospace industry with more than 100 research institutes, universities, enterprises and other related units and with more than 35,000 employees.

In addition, Xi'an encourages relevant institutes and enterprises of the aerospace industry to establish innovation laboratories with well-known overseas universities and scientific research institutions. By strengthening scientific utilization of global research and development resources, Xi'an innovates international technical cooperation to serve the aerospace industry.
