Liangjiang New Area's Lianglu Cuntan Bonded Port in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality and Chengdu Hi-tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone's Shuangliu area in Southwest China's Sichuan province signed a cooperation agreement through video chat on Aug 12.

The agreement will allow Liangjiang and Chengdu to utilize their advantages in pilot free trade zone construction and airport industry economic development.

According to the agreement, Liangjiang and Chengdu will co-establish an international aviation hub corridor, promote the development of customs' designated inspection fields, advance aviation material leasing and promote mutual recognition of the 144-hour visa-free transit scheme.

By constructing Customs' designated inspection fields, Liangjiang and Chengdu will cooperate on international supply chain channels, industrial chain investment attraction, West China science city construction, international exhibitions and emerging industries.

, Both sides will reform free trade, construct an international exchange center in Midwest China and make customs clearance more convenient to promote the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing pilot free trade zone.

Lianglu Cuntan Bonded Port is a national development platform established in 2018. It enjoys a variety of national-level supporting policies, is equipped with a water port and airport, and has advantages in multimodal transport, including water, expressway, air and railway transport.
