$1.55 bn investment project promotes development of green economy in Ordos

A signing ceremony for the project of the Grove-Ordos Zhongji Hydrogen Energy Heavy-duty Truck Production Base was held in Dongsheng district of Ordos city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Wednesday, which will burgeon the city's development of the hydrogen energy industry.

The production base will be set up in the Ordos Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park with a total investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion), with plans to start production by the end of 2021. The project will focus on the fields of new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, energy conservation, and environmental protection.

Ordos will continue to give full play to its rich hydrogen energy resources and promote the green transformation of related industries, which will help Ordos' high-quality development of green hydrogen energy, as well as help China reach peak carbon emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.
