Zaozhuang textile industry adopts 5G+AGV smart production application

Shandong Zhink New Material Co, located in Zaozhuang, Shandong province, adopted the first 5G+AGV intelligent production application in the textile industry.

The application is used in the company's smart factory, which is jointly developed by Zhink and China Telecom Zaozhuang Branch.

China Telecom Zaozhuang Branch gives full play to its core technological advantages in the field of 5G. It uses 5G MEC core self-research capabilities to assist Zhink in building the smart factory.

Automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) are autonomous vehicles used to transport materials or accomplish specific tasks in many different industrial settings.

The intelligent production management platform and AGV control system are interconnected through 5G technology at Zhink's smart factory.

"We have increased productivity by about 40 percent through this application," said He Shengjun, a senior manager from Zhink.
