Since the beginning of this year, various rural tour routes in Southwest China's Guizhou province have been selected as national excellent routes.

In recent years, Guizhou has been striving to improve rural tourism, upgrade tourism products, and optimize tourism services. Benefiting from the development of rural tourism, more and more people in rural areas are seeing their lives improved.

Relying on well-known scenic spots and major tourism companies, Guizhou has encouraged more people to participate in the development of rural tourism in their hometown.

Kala village, which is close to Danzhai Wanda Village in Danzhai county, is one such example. After visiting Danzhai Wanda Village, people will come to Kala village to have a taste of the local cuisine.

In Guiyang's Longguang village, famous tourism company Shuixiang Dongshe was brought in to help develop homestays, and built a community of shared interests including the government, village, investors, farmers and online platforms to vitalize the rural area.

Currently, Guizhou has about 15,000 homestays with more than 160,000 beds. It has set standards for rural tourism villages, inns and inn operators so as to improve the environment at rural tourism spots and provide a better tourism experience for tourists.

Statistics show that currently, Guizhou is home to 49 national key rural tourism villages, 724 traditional villages under national protection, and 312 villages selected on the list of China's featured ethnic villages, more than anywhere else in China.
