The Jilin Province Audi-FAW New Energy Vehicle Industrial Chain Investment Conference was held on Dec 20 in Changchun – capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province – according to local media reports.
The conference attracted the participation of 240 enterprises and 24 investment projects were signed.
At present, Jilin province is giving full play to the leading role of China FAW Group in promoting the high-quality development of the local auto industry cluster.
Jilin Province is formulating relevant planning and industrial guidance policies. It is understood to be committed to introducing more high-tech new energy support projects to Changchun, driving the overall upgrading of its automobile industry supply chain.
With the strong support of the State, Audi FAW's new energy vehicle project was settled in Changchun and fully constructed, becoming German group Audi's first pure electric vehicle production base in China.
Audi FAW NEV Co is Audi's first majority-owned joint venture in China, as well as being a key milestone in Audi's electrification strategy in China.
Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Co is said to not only represent Audi's new benchmark in terms of production digitization, precision and sustainability, but to also demonstrate the accelerated implementation of Audi's electrification strategy.
