China will expand its imports of high-quality products from Iran, and continue promoting the joint building of the Belt and Road with Iran, Shu Jueting, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Commerce, said on Thursday at a media conference.

She also said China will strengthen cooperation with Iran under multilateral frameworks including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Bilateral trade between the two countries reached $15.8 billion in 2022, up 7 percent year-on-year, and China has been Iran's largest trading partner for 10 successive years, she said.
