Lecheng launches 6 key projects worth $414.87m

The Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, also known as Boao Hope City in Qionghai, Hainan province, launched six projects on February 6 with a total investment of 2.86 billion yuan ($414.87 million), involving the fields of industrial platforms and infrastructure construction.

The projects include the Boao Lecheng Medical Technology Transformation Platform, the second phase of the Ruijin-Hainan Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (Hainan Boao Research Hospital), and the construction of a kindergarten, Kangjian Road, Mianzhong Avenue and Yazhai Xiacungou.

The completion of these projects will further improve the health industrial chain and system of Lecheng pilot zone, inject new vitality into its high-quality development and strongly enhance its joint development with Qionghai city.

With a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan, the Boao Lecheng Medical Technology Transformation Platform is a key project for the pilot zone in building a shared and open scientific research platform.

In addition, the construction and operation of Hainan Boao Research Hospital will further enhance the discipline capacity and medical service level of the Lecheng pilot zone, and boost its development with high standards and quality.
