2023 Boao Surgery Forum kicks off in Hainan

Recently, the 2023 Boao Surgery Forum, the fourth session, was successfully held in Boao town of Qionghai city, South China's Hainan province. It was hosted by the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration and Johnson & Johnson MedTech.

Thousands of guests, including government representatives, academicians, and surgery experts gathered at the event to discuss the latest development of medical innovation, the cutting-edge technology of surgery and standardized diagnosis and treatment.

Since 2018, the forum has invited more than 3,000 top surgery experts, and has gradually developed into an international academic and medical innovation exchange platform with high quality and high level.

The reason why the Lecheng Pilot Zone cooperates with Johnson & Johnson is that the forum has always adhered to innovation, industry development and inclusiveness, values shared by Johnson & Johnson MedTech.

Johnson & Johnson was one of the first multinational medical and healthcare companies to introduce international cutting-edge innovative products into the Lecheng Pilot Zone. The strategic cooperation began since the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) in 2019 when both sides decided to promote medical technology, devices and drugs to meet internationally advanced level.

The "Johnson & Johnson Boao Innovation Chain" was launched in 2019, with a core intention of building a comprehensive and innovative platform integrating the display of medical scientific research achievements, technology promotion, product application, academic exchanges and professional training.

The innovation chain has become a bridge linking domestic medical demands and the world’s advanced medical technologies and products, and has led to many "firsts" in the industry through over three years' development.
