Autoliv – a world-leading auto spare part developer and manufacturer providing protective systems, such as airbags, seatbelts, and steering wheels for all major automotive manufacturers in the world as well as mobility safety solutions – set up its subsidiary in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.
The new firm began running on March 27, indicating that the zone's new energy vehicle and intelligent connected vehicle research capabilities have extended into the automotive safety field.
Autoliv entered the Chinese market in 1989, and currently owns 14 manufacturing bases, a Chinese headquarters, and an R&D center in the nation.
Fabien Dumont, vice president of the company's Chinese technology center, revealed the company's intention to lay out more human resources in Wuhan in the future.
