Costa China, the British coffee brand, has continued to expand its ready-to-drink business in the Chinese market by enhancing innovations and strengthening supply chain collaborations to meet the diversified demands from younger consumers, thanks to the recovery of consumption occasions.
Costa China has developed high-end ready-to-drink products like coconut-flavored coffee and coconut-oolong light milk tea to prepare for the peak season in the summer.
Qing Lijun, CEO of COFCO Coca-Cola Beverage Ltd, said Costa, as a key international coffee brand, has played an important role in expanding new categories for the company, given the massive potential of the coffee business. Costa's deep insights in consumer behaviors have translated into development of high-end ready-to-drink beverages, he added.
"We have discovered consumers to be willing to pay higher prices for coffee products with better taste, texture and flavors," said Qing. "We believe that high-end ready-to-drink coffee has a major chance in securing bigger market shares in the country."
