The sixth China International Import Expo held promotional events in the Netherlands on local time May 23 and 24. Six local institutions and companies signed memorandums of cooperation with the CIIE.
Jin Yuan, economic and commercial counselor at the Chinese embassy in the Netherlands, said during the events that the CIIE is an excellent platform for companies to showcase and promote their products and services. He welcomed Dutch enterprises to participate in the expo and reap the enormous benefits of the Chinese market.
Shi Huangjun from the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) said that the CIIE serves as a crucial bridge for Dutch companies to access the Chinese market.
According to Shi, the sixth CIIE welcomes renowned multinational corporations such as Royal Philips and Signify, as well as distinctive small- and medium-sized enterprises to participate.
Over the past five expos, Dutch companies have actively participated in the business exhibition and the exhibition area they occupied totaled 15,000 square meters.
The head of Chinese affairs of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), an official organization that helps Dutch enterprises develop overseas, praised the effectiveness of the CIIE and noted that many Dutch companies have already achieved fruitful results by participating in the expo.
The agency is actively mobilizing small- and medium-sized enterprises, particularly those from the agricultural products and food, life sciences, and new energy sectors, to take part in the expo.
