The Changxing Island Economic and Technological Development Zone not only boasts comprehensive infrastructure but also offers specialized support for industries such as chemical and shipbuilding.
Water supply: The current tap water supply capacity is 100,000 tons per day, with a daily consumption of 20,000 tons. The long-term plan aims for a total water consumption of 1.48 million tons per day, comprising 400,000 tons of tap water, 600,000 tons of desalinated seawater, and 480,000 tons of reclaimed water.
Electricity: The zone features two 220KV substations, each with a capacity of 2x180MVA, adequately meeting present demand. Long-term plans involve the construction of four thermal power plants, two 500KV substations, and 20 220KV substations.
Gas: A natural gas station, complemented by a 1,750 cubic meter LNG storage tank and two 150 cubic meter LNG storage tanks, facilitates a gas supply of 20,000 cubic meters per hour.
Industrial gas: A substantial industrial gas separation device produces liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and liquid argon, boasting a daily production capacity of 270 tons.
Sewage treatment: The zone is equipped with three sewage treatment plants, collectively capable of treating 100,000 tons per day, aligning with current requirements.
Industrial steam: Nineteen heat exchange stations across the zone deliver steam temperatures surpassing 180°C and pressures exceeding 1Mpa.
Hazardous waste treatment: The operational industrial hazardous waste treatment base spans 370,000 square meters, with a treatment capacity of 245,000 tons per year.
