The 2022 China Seed Congress and the Nanfan Agricultural Silicon Valley Forum concluded in Sanya on July 31. More than 2,000 guests discussed the seed industry's vitalization at the forum, supporting the development of the Nanfan industry in Hainan.
The conference included one main forum and 13 sub-forums, bringing about 148 thematic reports. In addition, 15 academicians and more than 170 experts were invited to conduct policy and regulation interpretations, seed industry research and assessments, business management experience sharing, as well as authoritative information releases and exchanges.
During the conference, the China Seed Association andFarmers' Dailyjointly released "10 major events in China's seed industry in 2021," while a number of unveilings and contract signings were also carried out at the meeting to further accelerate the construction of Nanfan Silicon Valley, such as the unveiling of the Yazhou Bay Branch Center of the National Seed Industry Science and Technology Achievement Property Rights Exchange Center.
The China Seed Association, the Hainan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Sanya municipal people's government, as well as Hainan Agricultural Reclamation Investment Holding Group signed the China Seed Conference and Nanfan Silicon Valley Forum Cooperation Framework Agreement.
In addition, the China Seed Association also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, in which Sanya was selected to be the permanent host venue for the China Seed Congress and Nanfan Agricultural Silicon Valley Forum.
In addition, the congress set up a 5,500-square-meter exhibition hall to build booths for 50 seed industry enterprises to display new varieties, technologies, as well as achievements. The guests also visited the exhibition hall of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Industry Promotion Center and Yazhou Bay Seed Laboratory.
