On Feb 22, the Hainan ASEAN Digital Transaction Platform for Tropical Produce settled into Ledong Li autonomous county.
This platform is the first digital trading platform for tropical agricultural products in Hainan province. So far, the total transaction volume has reached 575 million yuan ($84 million).
This platform has six functions, including trading data, agricultural supply chain finance, agricultural circulation models, logistics supporting digitalization, industrial collaborative integration, and digital RMB trading.
The platform promotes the digitalization of agricultural trade, the high-quality development of Hainan's agricultural products, as well as the stable supply of important agricultural products.
The platform will make good use of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port. It will also leverage the export advantages of Hainan's agricultural industry chain within the southern seed industry.
