At present, Sanya has an average of over 500 ships traveling to sea every day, and receives over 3,000 tourists per day. In 2022, Sanya added 192 registered yachts, a year-on-year increase of 20.3 percent. The total number of registered yachts in the city has reached 1,249, ranking first in the country.
TheOutline of the Hainan Yacht Industry Development Plan (2021-25)proposes that by 2025, the number of registered yachts in Hainan will exceed 2,446, and the total number of yacht tourists will reach 1.36 million, with an industrial scale exceeding 10 billion yuan.
