The launch of the sightseeing bus around the Hainan Coastal Scenic Highway on Wednesday morning marked a new addition to the tourism offerings in the island province.
Now the sightseeing bus introduces two routes offered visitors, giving the chance to explore the exquisite beauty and rich culture of the region.
The round-trip tropical beach tour takes travelers from the Haikou Bus Terminal to Wenchang Mulan Bay, passing through the Hainan Provincial Museum, Wenchang Puqian Historic Street, and Mulan Bay Lighthouse, covering a total distance of 160 kilometers, with a six-hour tour time.
On the other hand, the coconut forest tour from the Haikou Bus Terminal to Shanqin Bay in Wanning spans 319.8 kilometers round trip and takes seven hours to complete. This journey takes travelers through the China (Hainan) Museum of the South China Sea, as well as Qionghai's local snack street, offering a delightful blend of natural wonders and cultural experiences.
To cater to the diverse needs of tourists, the sightseeing bus offers a variety of frequencies, allowing travelers to select the option that suits their preferences and schedules.
"While meeting the needs of visitors, the launch of the coastal sightseeing bus also provides a comfortable on-the-go experience, striking a balance and coordination between fast-forward and slow travel, observation and experience, as well as overall and personalized aspects. This seamless integration aims to offer a holistic and fulfilling exploration, ensuring that travelers can savor the journey while connecting with the diverse attractions along the Hainan Coastal Scenic Highway," said a representative from Hainan Haiqi Transportation Group, which runs the sightseeing bus.
The Hainan Coastal Scenic Highway, stretching across a total of 988 kilometers, officially opened to traffic on Dec 18, 2023. This roadway winds its way through 12 coastal cities and counties, including Haikou, Wenchang, Sanya, and Changjiang.
